Five Ways to Win My ♡

If you’ve been following up with my blog posts, you’ll know that I have decided to start a 30 day writing challenge (challenge provided at the bottom of this post). This is the sixth post of the 30 from that challenge, all in hopes to get me back into my writing. Wish me luck!

Day 6: Five Ways to Win Your Heart

*** Side note, I am taken; my boyfriend and I are happily in a 2 year relationship :). This is just part of the 30 day writing challenge and here I have listed 5 ways to win my heart. These aren’t necessarily ways to get me to like someone, but in general things that would get me to be on friendly terms with about anyone.

1. Give me food

Food is like my #2 favorite thing in the world! I binge eat when I’m not supposed to and I think about/crave food about most of the day. Carbs? Love them.

2. Be sweet/kind

If you’re nice to me, I have no reason to not be nice back; plain and simple. Basically, I’ll reciprocate the vibes you’re giving me. Obviously no one likes when someone is rude or uncalled for.

3. Be understanding

Being an understanding person goes a long way. If you have values/views that are different from mine, don’t just dismiss mine or call mine wrong. Opinions are just that– opinions. No one is wrong for thinking one thing versus the other.

4. Be supportive

This one is kind of similar to #3, but it’s more in the caring sense. If I want to do something new or feel bad about something, make me feel better about it, even if it is a bad idea.

5. The little things

This is something that I’m sure a lot of people can agree on. Doing small things for someone, like holding open a door as you walk by or giving someone a ride, can be really nice when you look back at them. Like, you’re not trying too hard to do something nice for someone.

Someone Who Inspires Me

If you’ve been following up with my blog posts, you’ll know that I have decided to start a 30 day writing challenge (challenge provided at the bottom of this post). This is the fourth post of the 30 from that challenge, all in hopes to get me back into my writing. Wish me luck!

Day 4: Write About Someone Who Inspires You

Whenever I hear other people answer this sort of question, they always include some celebrity or their parents. For me, I like to think of someone who inspires people and has genuine care for others. This person is my friend’s mom. My friend and I have known each other for almost 10 years now. Woah! Mind blown! I didn’t realize it’s been so long. But her mom is the sweetest; she’s like a second mom. I have a few other friends whose moms are like this too and I just love them all. I strive to be as sweet, loving, caring, and family-oriented as them. Alondra, Barbara, Brittany, Emma, and Taisha; I’m talking about your moms. 🙂 Miss you all!

My Top 3 Pet Peeves

If you’ve been following up with my blog posts, you’ll know that I have decided to start a 30 day writing challenge (challenge provided at the bottom of this post). This is the third post of the 30 from that challenge, all in hopes to get me back into my writing. Wish me luck!

Day 3: What Are Your Top 3 Pet Peeves?

For today’s topic, I’ll be addressing my top 3 pet peeves. I’m not sure if I can rank these as my top 3, but nonetheless, these are some of my pet peeves:

1. Repeating Myself

Everyone knows I’m a quiet person and I get that maybe whoever I’m talking to just didn’t hear me or had trouble hearing me. But there is a difference where you just weren’t paying attention and I’m clearly talking. It annoys me so much. Or when I’m at a loud place and I physically can’t speak any louder because I’m so soft-spoken that I can’t even have a conversation because it makes me feel ignored when they can’t hear me and don’t know I’m even talking.

2. Being Called a Liar/Something I’m Not

I’ve always had a problem with people thinking that I’m lying about something because I am such an honest person. It makes me so mad because there is no trust there. Or because they are in denial about something that I said. I don’t really know how else to say this, but I just hate it.

3. When People Trash the Public

I didn’t know how else to phrase that heading, but this has nothing to do with littering, which is still wrong. If you know me, you know I like to keep my areas neat and organized. If you’ve worked in retail, you’ll notice how often customers place things in the wrong places and how infuriating it is to clean up after them. But the worst part of it that makes me so mad is that most of the time, they are so close to where they should have placed it. For example, at the gym, I saw this guy stretching with a plastic pipe. When he finished, he literally put it against the wall on THE OPPOSITE SIDE, 1 foot away. Like, how ignorant. Another example is one that to this day enrages me. I used to work at Sears before it closed down in the local mall. If you don’t know what it’s like to be in the process of closing a store, let me tell you, it’s WAY worse than normal. It gets way busier and the messes become unsurmountable. Anyway, so every single day and at every second of the day, we had to pick up after people because it was so messy. The customers make it messy. And I don’t know if they just think that because the store is closing, it means it’s a free for all that they just have to trash the place. BUT LIKE HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT A SHIRT BACK ON THE HANGER AND PLACE IT ON THE RACK? People would just throw the clothes on top of the racks like it was nobody’s business. One time, we had to close off one of our fitting rooms (mind you, we had other ones that were open) and we had signs up directing them to the open ones. This was just temporary because the person who was in charge of that fitting room had to take a lunch break. This girl had the AUDACITY to move the thing blocking it off and go in there. Words cannot explain how mad I felt because she had the nerve to completely ignore the rules, like she was in such a rush. First of all, why go to the mall when you’re that impatient? And that was just one instance. People did it all the time. I just hate how ignorant people are that they don’t even consider the people that have to clean up after them like if they were our children. It really makes me wonder how these people were raised because of how inconsiderate people are and they don’t even realize it.

I Will Never Forget What Someone Told Me About Myself

If you’ve been following up with my blog posts, you’ll know that I have decided to start a 30 day writing challenge (challenge provided at the bottom of this post). This is the second post of the 30 from that challenge, all in hopes to get me back into my writing. Wish me luck!

Day 2: Write Something That Someone Told You About Yourself That You Never Forget

One thing someone said about me that I will never forget is that I am meticulous. What my friend meant about that is that I am very detailed in almost everything that I do and I like to be precise about things. For example, if I’m cleaning, I like to get every little inch of space that needs to be cleaned (literally every surface and corner) and I don’t like to miss any spots.

You know what, my friend Brittany and I sometimes talk about ourselves in a Psychology sense. For example, last year she slept over at my old apartment and I think I had an assignment or something, but for some reason, we were researching the Myers Briggs 16 Personality Types. We decided to take a test online to see which personality type we fit under. Mine, of course was ISTJ, the same as what I was categorized from several years ago in a psychology class. If you don’t know, ISTJ stands for Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. If you know me or if you’ve went to school with me, you’d KNOW I was and still am an introvert. It was bad lol. After college, it has definitely gotten better, but you can still tell. Brittany and I were just talking about how this really fits me. Like, it was mind blowing. But, she was saying how I’m very meticulous and yes, it’s true. I think other things she said about me were that I am responsible and honest.
