Welcome! Introducing Me

First thing’s first, my name is Melany (but you can call me Mel). I’m 21 years old and I live in Florida. I’m an aspiring RN and slowly, but surely making my journey there. In my free time, I love to be at home with my dogs and boyfriend as we binge watch shows on Netflix. I would say I’m a homebody (or borderline lazy). This makes sense because I am overall a very introverted person. Although, I can be more social in the right context. Something else you should know is that I was actually born in Long Island, New York and I am part of a fully Hispanic family (from Dominican Republic).

Some other things I enjoy doing (when the time is given) include hanging out with friends, going out to eat, just having a good time, and occasionally go to the beach.

I am an avid-gym goer; as I work out regularly for 4 days a week now. I used to go to the gym 6 days a week for months before I decided to slow it down a little for safety reasons. The reason being is because I want to live a healthy lifestyle. (It also gives me something to do). If you know me, you know that I love to eat and luckily enough, working out at least compensates for the quantities of food that I eat. I have learned/am still learning the the right workout plan that fits my goals and what exactly I need to eat that fulfills my recommended daily calorie/macronutrient intake. I’d say I’m very proud of myself for getting so far in my fitness journey and making it a great, healthy habit. I would’ve never known that I would one day reach this level of fitness, but look at me now.

I began this blogging journey to expand my horizons and express my inner me (and also to give me something to do, let’s be honest). For years, I have always had the desire to create my own website/blog about everyday things. Along with that, I’ve also wanted to incorporate some of my amateur photography and writing. I haven’t gotten much into these as I would like, mostly because of how busy life can get. But, I can at least give it a try (I even added some of my personal photos into this post).

With that being said, I’m excited to see what the future holds.

So, here’s to new beginnings!

“You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.”

To all you other bloggers (or nonbloggers) out there, let me know how I did on my first blog post! Was there anything I should add? Subtract? Change? Below is where you can comment on this post, which I will gladly take under consideration.

Thank you so much for getting to know me!

Lots of love,

Mel

  1. Looking forward to reading your words! Just make sure to be you and don’t hold anything back. People connect to flaws, mistakes, and struggles not perfection. So be true and be you and your blogging will be fulfilling for you! Great first post!
